This is a once-off cost of R31.00 per sticker and is non-refundable. Once the additional bin/s have been converted to a garden refuse bin/s they can only be used for garden refuse removal and no longer for domestic waste removal. The garden refuse removal program will be charged at R100.00 per bin per month and will be added to the homeowner's levy account. Garden Refuse is removed by a private company (Bi-Waste) on a Friday. Garden Refuse Bins must be placed on the pavements before 7:00 on the collection day. The following will be collected: The following will be collected: • Grass, hedge clippings and leaves • plants • small thin branches • weeds • twigs and sticks • fallen fruit • flowers and house plants The following will not be collected: • bags/sacks • bricks, rubble or soil • plastic plant pots and containers • large branches or logs • Japanese Knotweed • wire • string • metal • liquids (for example paint, pesticides, weed killer) • food waste Please note: All garden waste must be placed in plastic bags or recyclable plastic bags (which can be purchased from Builders Warehouse/Chamberlain’s or Makro, at your own cost, of between R13.00 to R15.00 per bag). The recyclable bags will be emptied and placed back into your garden refuse bin/s. All garden waste must be able to fit into your garden refuse bin with the lid closed, any garden refuse bags placed on top of your garden refuse bin or next to your garden refuse bin will not be removed. Additional garden refuse bins can be purchased directly from the SLHOA. Removal of bulk garden refuse and rubble is the responsibility of the tenant or owner of the property. Bulk garden waste or building rubble removal can be arranged directly through Bi-waste at biwaste@gmail.com. IMPORTANT: If a tenant completes this application form, the owner of the property must sign the form. If not able to sign the form, the tenant will attach an email from the homeowner permitting the tenant to apply for a garden refuse bin/s sticker. If this is not met, the garden refuse bin/s sticker will not be delivered to the property. I/We, the undersigned hereby agree and accept the above.
